ok i kno i always post and lack pictures and details but i'll post them later; promise...

I just had to share a tiny victory story...

ok; maybe bittersweet victory..

well I made a vow to stop shopping "new" for a while now
shopping vintage/thrift/goodwill
is soo much more fun and I find so many one of a kind piecess
so I've been hittin up the goodwill around where I live for a while now....
searching and searching through clothes to find little cute things and I've had luckk
but it took a WHOLE lot of effort...

anyway my friend has been on her vintage shopping for a year or 2 now and she's been telling me about this thrift store like its incomparable..

I got off work super early today and was on my way to the mall (to spend $25) in M.A.C.
and decided I would swing by the store and see what the deal was...

I walked in that store and went absolutely STARK crazy....
When I walk into a place that has an OVERFLOW of cute things...
I get a rush....
When I walk into a place that has an OVERFLOW of cute things FOR CHEAP....
its seriously like chaos in my head
I literally wanted to throw up from how much they had!!!

First of all,
What thrift store do you know that color codes EVERYTHING
I walked in and (the store was like the size of a department store)
and they had 4 or 5 rows of shoes.
ALL color coordinated
coulda went crazy right there...
but I'm not into shoes enough for that

but when i got to the clothes.....i could have bought EVERYTHING IN THAT STORE
I ended up spending 62 dollars (the bitter part )

BUT

I found an AMAZING DRESS from Laurence Kazar
I always look up the designers wen I find good vintage pieces
and I noticed he specialized in EXTRANESS
everything I've seen of his is beaded, sequined, and FLASHY
like something Fran Drescher's grandmom would rock on "The Nanny"
The dress I bought is NO different
hand beaded all on the body sequins and beads GALORRE on the shoulders, and shoulder padss, shoulder padss..peep hole in the back aka THE BOMB...I think you're going to have to wait until december to see her though b/c this is my dress for the Golden Scissors Awards

and I got a black SUEDE, CROPPED, FRINGED jacket for 30 dollars
alll the way suede too!!
perfect accessory!

I think I always go crazy in stores b/c I'm not practical at all
I always picture myself walking down NY streets or out at fancy events
when I picture myself in clothes..
that's why I have dresses and pieces in my closet that i have yet to wear
cz I'm not in nobody's NEWYORK
or nobody's fancy event lol
just workin ...

a girl can dream though
